Breaking Hygiene Stereotypes
Affordable and Accessible hygiene solutions for all

In India, female and child hygiene is a big concern due to a lack of resources, awareness, and initiatives on social, political, and individual grounds. As per the National Family health survey in India, 49.6 percent of women aged between 15-50 use old clothes instead of sanitary pads. Similarly, in many Indian families, people use old cotton clothes for the baby’s care. It leads to several complications in girls, women and kids.

At Triba Textiles & Industrial Private limited (TRIBA), we began our endeavour with a mission- to achieve affordable personal hygiene for all, especially females and children.

TRIBA aims to break all myths, social barriers, and root causes attached to personal hygiene, especially menstrual hygiene in India. Founded by XLRI Jamshedpur alumnus  – TRIBA is working tirelessly to change the mindset of Indian society and providing affordable but high-quality sanitary pads and diapers under the brand name- Mayo Ultima, which is available online and at retail stores.

Social Initiatives

Menstrual Hygiene Day Celebrations

TRIBA is determined to break all myths and taboos of personal hygiene. To support our mission, we celebrate Menstrual Hygiene day on 28th May. In 2022, we collaborated with P&M Mall to create awareness about menstrual hygiene.

Highlights of the collaboration:
  • Encouraged people to discuss menstruation without hesitation.
  • Urged people to stop buying or selling sanitary pads packed in black polybags
  • Talked about myths and age-old practices associated with women during the menstruation period
  • Spread awareness about using high-quality Sanitary pads and their benefits.
Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Program

At TRIBA , we envisage a future in India where personal hygiene will be accepted and acknowledged. To achieve the mission, we have collaborated with several NGOs and spread awareness about personal hygiene to the remotest areas of the nation. We want to unfurl our wings to rural and urban areas where women still hesitate to use sanitary pads and are unaware of the health benefits associated with these pads and make them educated about the trivia.
